1-14 Adding and Configuring Printers
To Add a Printer
When you first start up your server, you will be prompted to add
any printers that are connected to and detected by the print
server. You must add at least one printer in order to begin send-
ing print jobs to the server. You can also add printers as your sys-
tem grows (if permitted by your server and the printer’s
requirements).
To add a printer, follow these steps:
1. From the System menu, select the Add - Printer option.
The following dialog box appears:
2. Select a printer to add.
Double-click on the printer you wish to add, or highlight it
and click Add. System Control displays a dialog box that
enables you to route the input ports to printers.
3. Route all of the ports.
If you are installing only one printer, route all of the ports
to it. You cannot proceed until all of the ports are routed to
a printer.
4. Click OK.
The system asks you whether you want to install the
ColorMark software for the new printer.
5. Install ColorMark.
