Requirements
We recommend that you use a system with the following mini-
mum capabilities for the fastest print times and best output
results:
• Macintosh — a Power PC processor with at least 24 mega-
bytes of RAM and Ethernet network adapter.
• Operating System — The Image Utility requires OS X 10.2
(“Jaguar”) or later.
• Drivers — the PostScript Printer Description (PPD) files
supplied will work with the OS X Print Center. Use the most
recent version of the LaserWriter 8 driver that is compatible
with your operating system version.
• Hard Disk — the Apple LaserWriter 8 driver spools (copies)
files to your startup hard disk and then sends them to the
printer. High resolution or large format print jobs require
many megabytes of disk space to spool. The amount of free
space required depends on the size and resolution of the
files you print and the applications you use.
