VideoNet Overview VideoNet is HP’s communication protocol used between the print server software (Including HP RIP SW, ColorSpan ColorMark Legacy and third parties) and the printer (excluding DisplayMaker Professional Legacy). A networking protocol is a specific software method that packages up information for transmission over a medium, such as a cable. In this regard, VideoNet is no different from AppleTalk, TCP/IP, or Microsoft Windows Networking.
