IMPORTANT: HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager (formerly HP StorageWorks Replication
Solutions Manager EVA) supports all HP P6000/Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) models. General
references to HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager may also refer to earlier versions of HP
Replication Solutions Manager EVA. P6000 is the new branding for the Enterprise Virtual Array product
family.
HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager is also known as the replication manager.
This document contains information for the following HP P6000 replication software products:
• HP P6000 Business Copy
• HP P6000 Continuous Access
• HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager 5.3
• HP P6000 Dynamic Capacity Management

Update recommendation
HP recommends that all users upgrade to HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager 5.3.
Enhancements
The following enhancements are available with all software releases described in this document:
• HP P6000 Command View—Supports HP P6000 Command View 9.4.
• HP SCSI FC-compliant data replication protocol—Supports the use of exchange-based routing with
HP P6000 Continuous Access.
• New storage system support—Supports P6300 and P6500 storage systems.
• HP XCS 10000000—Supports HP XCS 10000000 controller software.
• Thin provisioning—Create and manage thin-provisioned virtual disks. This feature dynamically
increases the space allocated to a virtual disk.
NOTE: Thin provisioning is not supported with HP P6000 Business Copy and HP P6000
Continuous Access.
• Large LUN expand/shrink—Supports large LUN enhancements including the ability to expand
and shrink LUNs.
• Online virtual disk migration (change Vraid or disk group)—Change a virtual disk's redundancy
level (Vraid) or disk group membership without impacting host I/O.
