You can perform Fast Reverse Restore when you specify the following options:
• TSO : TGTPPRIM(YES)
• ICKDSF : TGTOKASPPRCPRIM(YES)
• ANTRQST Macro: TGTPPRIM(YES)
• Using a volume both as a Version 2 T-VOL and as a TrueCopy for Mainframe M-VOL
Volumes may be used as both a Version 2 T-VOL and a TrueCopy for Mainframe M-VOL as
long as they are any combination shown in (page 63). In TrueCopy Asynchronous for
Mainframe, perform the following steps to create a volume that is both a Version 2 T-VOL and
a TrueCopy for Mainframe M-VOL.
1. Create a TrueCopy Asynchronous for Mainframe pair.
2. Set the status for this pair to Suspend.
3. Create a Version 2 pair. The Version 2 T-VOL will become the TrueCopy for Mainframe
M-VOL.
Whether you can share the Version 2 T-VOL and the TrueCopy for Mainframe M-VOL depends
on the status of the TrueCopy for Mainframe pair as described in (page 58).

• An M-VOL cannot be specified as a Version 2 T-VOL (to create a Version 2 pair) unless a
TrueCopy Asynchronous for Mainframe pair is in the Suspend status.
• Similarly, a Version 2 pair, whose T-VOL is also a TrueCopy Asynchronous for Mainframe,
cannot be deleted unless the TrueCopy Asynchronous for Mainframe pair is in the Suspend
status.
• In addition, the TrueCopy Asynchronous for Mainframe pair cannot be resynchronized during
the time a volume is used both as a Version 2 T-VOL and as a TrueCopy Asynchronous for
Mainframe M-VOL.
(page 59) describes the TrueCopy for Mainframe pair status that is required when performing a
Reverse Restore and Fast Reverse Restore if a Version 2 T-VOL and the volume of a TrueCopy for
Mainframe pair is shared.
