Displaying Compatible PAV Device Parameters
You can display the device parameters using HCD to determine if a specific device is eligible for
Dynamic Compatible PAV management by WLM. To display the device parameters:
1. Starting from the I/O Device List dialog box (see Figure 53 (page 60)), select the desired
device by entering a slash (/) by the device number. In our example, we have selected device
8101.
2. After you select the desired device, you are prompted to select the desired action (see
Figure 54 (page 60)). Select option 8 to open the View Device Definition dialog box.
3. Review the information on the View Device Definition dialog box (see Figure 55 (page 60)),
and press Enter to continue.
4. Select the processor definition on the View Device / Processor Definition dialog box (see
Figure 56 (page 61)).
5. Review the candidate list for this device (see Figure 57 (page 61)), and press Enter to continue.
6. On the View Device / OS Configuration Definitions dialog box (see Figure 58 (page 61)),
select the OS configuration.
7. The View Device Parameter / Feature Definition dialog box (see “View Device Parameters”
(page 62)) displays the WLMPAV device parameters.
