Figure 9 Displaying Database Validator Volumes for Sample Configuration
Displaying Database Validator Volumes using raidvchkdsp
The raidvchkdsp command (see Figure 10) displays the relation between the Device_File and the
paired volumes based on the group (as defined in the local instance configuration definition file). If
the Device_File column shows Unknown to HOST (instance), then the volume is not recognized on its
own HOST and the raidvchkdsp command will be rejected in protection mode. The non-permitted
volume is shown without LDEV# information (LDEV# is -).
• See the HP StorageWorks XP RAID Manager User's Guide for more examples of the raidvchkdsp
command and parameter definition and displayed field definitions.

Displaying Database Validator Volume using raidvchkscan
The raidvchkscan command (see Figure 11) displays the fibre port of the storage system, GID (host
group number), LDEV mapped for LUN#, and the parameters for validation checking regardless of
the configuration definition file.
• See the HP StorageWorks XP RAID Manager User's Guide for more examples of the raidvchkscan
command, parameter definition, and displayed field definitions.
