Compatible XRC: If the status of a Compatible XRC pair volume is suspended because the
session was canceled, the volume can be used as a source volume.
XP Snapshot: Usage of XP Snapshot pair volume as a source volume depends on following
conditions:
◦ S-VOL for an XP Snapshot pair cannot be used as a source volume.
◦ P-VOL for an XP Snapshot pair can be used as a source volume if the status of the XP
Snapshot pair is PAIR.
Hitachi ShadowImage™ for Mainframe and HP StorageWorks XP Business Copy Software:
Usage of ShadowImage for Mainframe and XP Business Copy volumes as a source volume
depends on the status and cascade configuration of the volume.
◦ The following volumes cannot be used as a source volume:
ShadowImage for Mainframe volumes whose status is SP-Pend or V-Split–
– XP Business Copy volumes whose status is COPY(SP) or PSUS(SP)
◦ Table 6 (page 20) specifies which non-cascade volumes can be used as source volumes.
