HP StorageWorks XP24000/XP20000 Audit Log User and Reference Guide (AE131-96013, September 2007)

DescriptionItem
The read permission for each function appears as a hexadecimal character string. If a
hexadecimal number is indicated for the binary number, a bit position will describe the
relationship between each function and its read permissions. (see Table 12). A dash (-)
appears when nothing is changed.
ReadPermission
Indicates whether the user account is enabled or disabled.AccountFlag
Disable or Enable will appear.
The number of users.Num of Users
The write and read permissions for each function correspond to the bit position when a hexadecimal
number appears in the binary number. A user has read/write permissions when the function name's
bit is on.
For example, when the write permission information (hexadecimal) is
“000000000000000000000000000000(snip)000101”, the information will be “(512th bit)
00000000000000000000000000000(snip)000100000001(1st bit)” after it is converted to binary.
The 1st and the 9th bit positions are on. The following table shows that these bit positions indicate
write permissions for “information” and “LUN Manager function.” Read permissions are indicated in
the same manner.
