• In the case of emulation t ype 3390-9, the maximum number of resources that can be used as

• In the case of emulation type 3390-L, the maximum number of resources that can be used as an

• In the case of emulation t ype 3390-M, the maximum number of resources that ca n be used

an S-VOL is 272.
The number of pairs that can be created is determined according to the following condition:
The maximum number of relations that can be established is the largest num ber that meets the
equations Σ(α) ≤ (β)and Σ(γ) ≤ 1,048,5 75, where:
• Σ(α) stands for the total number of resources that need to be used.
• (β) stands for the total number of resources available in the subsystem.

The following figure shows an example of when seven relationships are created with 3390-3 volumes and
