For IBM FlashCopy and PPRC, you can create a PPRC pair that includes a volume
functioning as both a FlashCopy T-VOL and a PPRC primary volume.
• When you share a Version 2 S-VOL and a volume of a TrueCopy for Mainframe pair:
When
you share a Version 2 S-VOL and a volume of a TrueCopy for Mainframe pair, you need to:
• specify only one Version 2 T-VOL if the Version 2 S-VOL is shared with a TrueCopy for
Mainframe R-VOL.
• specify a volume with the same emulation type and same cap acity as the Version 2 S-VOL
to the TrueCopy for Mainframe S-VOL if the Version 2 S -VOL is shared with the TrueCopy
for Mainframe R-VOL.
• set thelocal mode(Mode 20 andMode190)to ON atthe RCU.

• use the volume whose emulation type is shown in Table 2 7 on page 55.
When you share a Version 2 S-VOL and a volume of a TrueCopy for Mainframe pa ir, the status of
the
TrueCopy Asynchronous for Mainframe pair must be duplex, pending duplex,or suspend.
However, if the shared TrueCopy for Mainframe volume is an R-VOL, there may be cases in which
you cannot create the Version 2 relationship. D etailed i nformation about this is in the table below.
