Figure 2 on page 18 illustrates a conguration in which you share ShadowImage for Mainframe
T-VOLs and S-VOLs for the Version 1 relationships. In addition to this conguration, you m ay specify
a
ShadowImage for Mainframe S-VOL as an S-VOL of a Version 1 relationship. The following table
shows the c ombination of the volumes when you establish a Version 1 relationship with ShadowImage
for Mainframe pair volumes.

You cannot specify a ShadowImage for Mainframe S-VOL which already has three T-VOLs as a
Version 1 copy source.
Using Version 1 with TrueCopy for Mainframe
The following table shows whether you can or cannot share Version 1 volumes with TrueCopy for
Mainframe volumes. Basically, TrueCopy for Mainframe includes both TrueCopy Synchronous for
Mainframe and TrueCopy Asynchronous for Mainframe.
