If youselectapair from thevolumelistand change thesettings, andifyou useadrop-downlistto
set blank to a parameter, the parameter takes the default value for ea ch pair. If yo u select the settings
from the preview list before applying the changed settings, and if you use a dro p-down list to set blank to
a
parameter in the Pairsplit-S dialog box, the parameter value in the preview list will not be changed.
Volume: Port - GID - LUN of the selected volume.
Note:
If # is added to the end of an LDEV number
(for example, 00: 00:3C#), the LDEV is an external volume. For details on external volumes, see the HP
StorageWorks XP24000 External Storage Software User’s Guide.
Delete Pa ir by Force:
• Yes: The pair(s) will be released even if the MCU is unable to communicate with the RCU.
This option may be used to free a host waiting for a device-end from an MCU which cannot
communicate with its RCU, thus allowing host operations to continue.
• No: The pair(s) will only be released if the MCU is able to change the pair status of the P-VOL
and
S-VOL to SMPL.
When the
status of the pa ir(s) to b e released is SM PL or Deleting, the default setting is Yes (cannot
be
changed). Other wise, the default setting is No.
Asynchronous Parameters:
• Delete Range: The delete range option simplifies disaster recovery operations for Continuous
Access A synchronous consistency groups at the RCU (sec ondary ( remote) storage system).
• Group (MCU or RCU): All pairs in the same consistency group(s) as the selected pair(s) will
be
released, regardless of the pair status and consistency status. You must select only one
