A journal group in initial status.
Journal volumes are registered in this journal group, but no data volumes
(primary data volumes nor secondary data volumes) are registered in this
Initial
journal group.
When you create a Continuous Access Journal volume pair, data volumes
will be registered in a journal group. The status of the journal group will
change to Ac tive.

finished. The primary data volume and the secondary

are synchronized.
Note
:If a jo
urnal group is in Active status, some of the data volume
pairs in the journal g roup might be split. If this happens, the word
Warning is displayed. To restore such data volume pairs, use the
Pair Operation window. For details on how to restore them, see
“Restoring a Pair of Data Vo lumes (Pairresync)” on page 136.
An operation for splitting the mirror has been started. The status of the
journal group will immediately change to Halting.
HaltAccept
Note
: HaltAccept can indicate the status of restore journal groups, but cannot
indicate the status of master journal groups.
An operation for splitting or deletin g the mirror is in progress. The primary
data volume and the second ary data volume are not synchronized.
When
you split a m irror, the status will change in the following order:
Halting
Halting, Halt, Stopping,and finally Stop.
When you delete a mirror, the status will change in the following order:
Halting, Halt, Stopping, Stop,and finally Initial.

• Mirror ID:Indicates amirrorID.
This column is blank if the attribute of the journal group is neither Master nor Restore.
• S/N (LDKC): Indicates the serial number of the remote storage system. The LDKC numb er is
enclosed in parentheses following the serial number.
This column is blank if the attribute of the journal group is neither Master nor Restore.
• Pair JNLG: Indicates the number of a journal group in the remote storage system.
This column is blank if the attribute of the journal group is neither Master nor Restore.
• Controller ID : Indicates the controller ID (model name that indicates the model) of the remote
storage system.
This column is blank if the attribute of the journal group is neither Master nor Restore.
Note
: The controller ID for a storage system is 5.
• Path Gr. ID:Displays path group IDs, which are used to identify path groups (that is, groups of
logical paths). Up to eight logical paths can b e registered in one pa th group.
This column is blank if the attribute of the journal group is neither Master nor Restore.
• CTG: Indicates the number of the consistency group to which the mirror belongs.
This column is blank if the journal group does not have a volume pair.
