Transferring Business Tasks from a Continuous Access Secondary Site to the Primary Site (in
a
3DC Cascading Configuration)
If you follow the instructions in
“Recoveri
ng
from a Disaster at the Primary Site in a 3DC Multi-Target Configuration” on page 147 and
then the sy
stem is changed to a 3DC cascading configuration, you can transfer your business tasks back
to the
pri
mar y site after removing failures from the primary site and other locations.
To transf
er
your business tasks back to the primary site, follow the procedure below. RAID Manager is
used in this procedure.
1. Stop the business tasks at the Continuous Access Synchronous secondary site.
2. Use RAID
Manager to execute the horc takeover command on the Continuous Access
Synchronous pair.
The system configuration returns to a 3DC multi-target configuration.
3. Use the p
rimary volume at the primary site to resume your business tasks.
