NOTE:
For open system volumes, the arrays support a maximum of only 16,384 LDEVs. This means that
CU group 0
is the only available CU group for open system volumes.
NOTE:
The CU number

is reserved for RAID Manager operations. Therefore, the CU number that can
be used for XP Remote Web Console operations is up to

. This means that 16,128 LDEVs belong
to CU group 3.

At the beginning of XP Remote Web Console operations, you need to select a CU group (see Figure
46). After you have selected a CU group, you can only perform operations on the LDEVs for the
selected CU group. You are not allowed to perform operations across multiple CU groups.
Operations for some of the XP Remote Web Console product options can be performed for all CU
groups, however, the operation of other product options is limited to CU group 0. All CU groups are
available for the following product options:
XP LUN Configuration and Security Manager Software
XP Auto LUN Software
XP Cache LUN Software
Hitachi Parallel Access Volumes (HPAV)
XP Disk/Cache Partition Software
Software Product Matrix
