The displayed items on the LDEV pane are as follows:
• SLPR drop-down list: You can display information for a particular SLPR. Storage partition administrators can
only see the information for the SLPR that they administer.
• The CU button automatically selects All in the PG drop-down list (below) and allows you to select a CU from
the CU drop-down list.
• The PG button, automatically selects All in CU drop-down list (below) and allows you to select a parity
group from the PG drop-down list.
• The PG drop-down list allows you to display information for the selected parity group.
• The CU drop-down list allows you to display information for the selected CU.
• SLPR: Name and number of the Storage Logical Partition
• CLPR: Name and number of the Cache Logical Partition
• CU:LDEV: On the left of the colon displays the CU image number. On the right of the colon displays the
LDEV number.
indicates a normal LDEV.
indicates an expanded (LUSE) volume.
indicates a reserved volume.
indicates a variable sized volume (VLL, or customized volume).
indicates that the security is set for the volume.
indicates a command device.
indicates secured command device.
• Emulation: Emulation type
• Capacity: Volume capacity
• RAID: RAID level
• Parity Group: Parity Group
• Paths: Number of paths
• External Device Information: External volume information is displayed as Vendor/Product name/Serial
number
