System Messages and Error Codes
The term storage system in this guide refers to the following disk arrays:
• HP StorageWorks XP12000 Disk Array
• HP StorageWorks XP10000 Disk Array
• HP StorageWorks 200 Storage Virtualization System
Remote Web Console for Storage System Messages
The following figure shows a typical message window displayed by XP Remote Web Console for
XP software.

Message Window Format
The following figure shows the message window format:

[X] message-text (YYYY ZZZZZ)
X indicates the message level. There are four message levels, as shown below. All storage system
message panels display the following information:
• Message level:
Information
Warning
Fatal error
The server is unable to accept the request from XP Remote Web Console. One possible
cause is that some process is in progress at the server. This message does not indicate an
error.
• Message text: Descriptive text that appears in the message window. It may include variables
%s (character string) and %d (numeral.) The values of these variables are determined when
processing is performed.
