Notes on using XP LUN Configuration and Security Manager
Software
• If you attempt to apply numerous settings in the XP LUN Configuration and Security Manager
Software panes, the SVP might be unable to continue processing. HP recommends that you make
up to approximately 1,000 settings. Numerous settings are likely to be made when alternate paths
are defined (see Copying paths from one Fibre Channel or iSCSI port to another), even though
only two commands are required for defining alternate paths.
• Do not remove LU paths (see Deleting LU paths) when hosts perform I/O processing.
• Do not disable XP Secure Manager (see Disabling LUN security) when hosts perform I/O processing.
