For host servers
:
Do not write data other than Oracle data to the O racle data check volume (LU). If multiple
paths are set to
the same volume (LU), check if those paths are not all set as the target of
Oracle data check.
Do not set the data storage location of the Data or Control le and the Redo log le to the
same volume (L
U).
Do not store Oracle data of different block sizes in a volume (LU). Only write da ta of the same
block size to a volume (LU).
When you chan
ge the conguration of logical volume manag er to the volume (LU) which is set as
the target of
the Oracle data check, you need to delete the settings of the target LUs and disable
theOraclech
eck function (Data Integrity Check) once. After changing the con guration, you
need to enab
le Da ta Integrity Check again and reset the LUs which are the target of the check.
When you restore the O racle data which was backed up before Data Integ rity Check was
installed on the array, you need to disable Data Integrity Check.
To set the v
olume (LU) of the array as the target of the Oracle data check, you need to have
aCHIPthatsupportsDataIntegrityCheck.
