Transferring the audit log information file to the FTP server
The login audit log and the settings audit log components are called the audit log information file.
Only the storage administrator can configure the FTP server and transfer the audit log information file
manually. The Audit Log Administrator role needs to be set to Modify or View.
NOTE:
Even though the FTP server settings are configured, the audit log information file transfer could fail due to
the failures of either the FTP server or LAN. In such cases, the Audit:Warning or the Audit:Wraparound
button will remain displayed on the XP Remote Web Console main pane. Resolve the error condition on
the FTP server or LAN and transfer the audit log information file manually by clicking Transfer on the Audit
Log pane. If the error condition cannot be resolved, download the audit log information file manually to
the XP Remote Web Console computer by clicking Audit:Warning or the Audit:Wraparound.
Follow the next steps to transfer the audit log information file to the FTP server.
1. Ensure the storage system is connected to the FTP server on a LAN.
2. Log on as a storage administrator and open the XP Remote Web Console main pane.
3. Change to Modify mode.
