Combining Snaps

LUN Security XP

Extension can set four kinds of access attributes on the volumes: Read/Write, Read

Only, Protect, and S-VO L Disable. Snapshot XP cannot create a pair by specifying a volume whose

access attribute is S-VOL Disable as the S-VOL. In addition, if the S-VOL Disable at tribute is set on the

SnapshotXPpair'sP-VOL,youcannotrestorethepair.

urity XP Extension, you can set the Read/Write, Read On ly, Protect, or S-VOL Disable

attribute on v

olumes that Snapshot XP pairs already use. However, when the pair is in the following

statuses, you cannot set the S-VOL Disable attribute on the pair volumes:

• COPY

• SMPL(PD)

• COPY(RS)

• COPY(RS-R)

• PSUE

NOTE:

You can set S-VOL Disable on the P-VOL even if the pair status is COPY, SMPL(PD), COPY(RS), or PSUE .
