This chapter d escribes p rocedures for using Snapshot XP.
The first section describes the flow of Snapshot XP processes. The next section describes how the status of
a Snapshot XP pair changes while using Snapshot XP. The other sections provide information needed to
create pools and switch off the array's power supply after you start using Snapshot XP.

To creat
e pools and V-VOL s, use Command View XP or XP Remote Web Console. To create Snapshot XP
pairs and perform subsequent operations, use RAID Manager XP. You can also use Command View XP or
XP Remote Web Console to delete pairs. For more information, see Snapshot XP operations.
