Cannot create Snapshot XP pairs. Causes:
There are not enough differential tables to create pairs.
Conditions to create the pair are not fulfilled.
Volumes specified to create the pair are in SMPL(PD) status because
the pair is being deleted.
Solutions:
Secure enough differential tables to create the Snapshot XP pairs.
See ”Calculating the number of Snapshot XP pairs you can create
on page 22.
Fulfill conditions to create the pair and try the pair creation again.
See ”Creating Snapshot XP pairs” on page 55.
On the Business Copy XP main pane, verify that the volume’s status
changes to SMPL, and try creating the pair again.
Execute RAID Manager XP’s inqraid command, verify that
Snapshot XP is not using the volume, and then try the pair creation
again.
Snapshot XP pairs are not displayed in
the volume list.
Causes:
Snapshot XP pairs are not created.
Displaying Snapshot XP pairs is prohibited by the filtering function.
Solutions:
Create Snapshot XP pairs. See ”Creating Snapshot XP pairs” on
page 55.
Change the settings in the Display Filter pane. See ”Specifying
conditions for volumes displayed in the volume list” on page 41.
An error occurred while restoring the
pair.
Causes:
A volume is blocked because a failure occurred in the hard disk
drive.
Solutions:
Delete the blocked Snapshot XP pair, and contact your HP account
support representative. For more information about restoring and
deleting pairs, see ”Restoring Snapshot XP pairs” on page 55.
A volume is blocked. Causes:
A failure occurred in two or more hard disk drives.
The breaker was turned off once and then the power supply was
switched on.
Solutions:
Contact your HP account support representative to solve the
problem.
A problem occurred on the application
software installed in the host computer
used to monitor the volumes.
Causes:
Access to the volume is rejected.
Solutions:
Terminate the application software that monitors the volumes.
Change all Snapshot XP pair statuses to PSUS, and start the
application software to monitor the volumes.
