Troubleshooting
This section describes general troubleshooting for using the Command View XP or XP Remote Web
Console and Snapshot XP.
General troubleshooting
You are responsible for the operations and usual maintenance of the Command View XP management
station or XP Remote Web Console. For more information about general errors and troubleshooting those
errors, see the HP StorageWorks Command View XP User Guide for XP Disk Arrays or the
HP StorageWorks XP Remote Web Console User Guide for XP12000/XP10000.
When operating the Command View XP management station or XP Remote Web Console, check the
following:
Network and wiring
Ensure that the computer’s wiring is secure. Check the wiring on the computer and LAN regularly.
Rebooting the computer
Before rebooting the computer, quit Command View XP and the web browser.
Error code
For more information about error codes displayed on the Command View XP management station or XP
Remote Web Console and the measures against those errors, see the HP StorageWorks Command
View XP User Guide for XP Disk Arrays or the HP StorageWorks XP Remote Web Console User Guide
for the XP12000/XP10000.
Status lamp
When the status lamp on the Command View XP or XP Remote Web Console main pane is yellow or
red, use the Status pane to check the status of the disk array. If you cannot fix the problem, contact your
HP Account Support Representative.
Obtaining trace files using the FD dump tool
When an error occurs and you cannot fix the problem, obtain the Command View XP or XP Remote
Web Console trace file using the FD dump tool, and contact your HP Account Support Representative.

0x2011 PSUS A Snapshot XP pair was split.
0x2021 SMPL A Snapshot XP pair was deleted.
0x2030 COPY(RS-R) START Restoration of a Snapshot XP pair started.
0x2031 COPY(RS-R) END Restoration of a Snapshot XP pair ended normally.
0x2032 COPY(RS-R) ENDED ABNORMAL Restoration of a Snapshot XP pair ended abnormally.
0x2051 COPY(RS) Snapshot data was deleted.
0x2070 PSUE(ABNORMAL END) A failure occurred and the Snapshot XP pair’s status changed
to PSUE.
0x2040 INITIALIZE START Initialization started.
0x2041 INITIALIZE END Initialization ended normally.
0x2042 INITIALIZE ENDED ABNORMAL Initialization ended abnormally.
