26 Snapshot XP
Combining Snapshot XP with other software products
You can create Snapshot XP pairs by sharing volumes with Continuous Access XP or Continuous Access XP
pairs. In addition, you can create Snapshot XP pairs using volumes to which LUN Security XP Extension or
RAID Manager have assigned attributes. Table 7 shows whether or not Snapshot XP pairs can share
volumes with other software products.
NOTE:
You need LUN Security XP Extension to set the Read Only attribute, Protect attribute, S-VOL Disable, or
VMA. For more information, see the HP StorageWorks LUN Security XP Extension User Guide.
You need RAID Manager to set the Zero Read Capacity or Invisible attribute. For more information, see
the HP StorageWorks RAID Manager XP User Guide.
You can check if the volume has the Read Only attribute, Protect attribute, S-VOL Disable, VMA, Zero
Read Capacity attribute, or Invisible attribute by accessing the LUN Security XP Extension pane. For
more information, see the HP StorageWorks LUN Security XP Extension User Guide.
