90 Continuous Access XP for the XP10000/XP12000
NOTE: If an LDEV number contains # at the end (such as 00:3C#), the LDEV is an external volume.
For more information about external volumes, see the HP StorageWorks External Storage XP User
Guide.
CLPR: CLPR number and name of the volume on the primary site.
Group name: Host group name of the volume on the primary site.
Pair Status: SMPL, COPY, PAIR, PSUE, PSUS, PDUB, Suspending, or Deleting (see ”Continuous Access
XP volume pair status” on page 25 for further information about Continuous Access XP pair status). If
the pair is split or suspended, the split/suspended type is also displayed.
Pair Synchronized: How far the copy operation progressed in percentage and the progress bar.
RCU S/N and ID: Serial number and SSID of the RCU (or MCU if S-VOL is selected).
MCU-RCU Path: Channel type of path interface between disk arrays (fibre or serial).
Update Type: Synchronous or Asynchronous.
Initial Copy Pace: 1-15 tracks (disabled when status is PAIR).
Initial Copy Priority: 1-256 (disabled when the status is PAIR).
P-VOL Fence Level: Conditions under which the MCU rejects write operations to the P-VOL.
Never: Never fence the operation
Data: Fence when the MCU cannot successfully execute an update copy operation for any reason
Status: Fence only if the MCU cannot change the S-VOL status to the same status as the P-VOL.
S-VOL Write: Enabled or disabled for this pair (enabled only when pair is split).
Pair Established: Date and time volume pair was created.
Last Updated: Date and time volume pair status was last updated.
Difference Management: Auto, Cylinder, or Track.
Asynchronous Parameter:
CT Group: Consistency group to which Continuous Access XP Async pair is assigned.
Error Level: Error level for Continuous Access XP Async pairs.
Suspended by: Consistency status (group or LU) of split or suspended Continuous Access XP Async
pair (see ”Continuous Access XP volume pair status” on page 25) (displayed only at the RCU).
Consistency time: Consistency time of group to which Continuous Access XP Async pair is assigned.
Refresh the Pair Operations panel after this panel is closed check box: To refresh the Pair Operations
pane after closing the Pair Status pane, select the check box. By default, the check box is not selected.
Previous button: Changes displayed pair status information to the previous LU on the Volume list (the LU
of the row above).
Next button: Changes displayed pair status information to the next LU on the Volume list (the LU of the
row below).
Refresh button: Refreshes pair status information.
Close button: Closes the Pairdisplay pane.
NOTE: Display Filter settings can affect how the Previous or Next button is recognized. The Volume list
can display 256 rows at one time. Use the Previous and Next buttons to display the previous or next 256
rows.
Creating Continuous Access XP volume pairs (Paircreate)
Use the Paircreate command to create one or more Continuous Access XP pairs. When the Paircreate
command is selected, the Paircreate pane appears. Use the Paircreate pane to select the S-VOL, RCU, and
initial copy options for pairs being created.
