NOTE: If the pair is suspended or deleted during the COPY status, the P-VOL’s access attribute is not
copied to the S-VOL. To copy the P-VOL’s access attribute to the S-VOL, ensure that the pair status is PAIR,
and suspend or delete the pair.

License capacity for LUN Security XP Extension
To create a Continuous Access XP pair using volumes with VMA, if the P-VOL has an access attribute that
requires the license for LUN Security XP Extension, you must have LUN Security XP Extension’s license
capacity for S-VOLs in the disk array on the secondary site. This is because when the copying access
attributes is complete, P-VOLs and S-VOLs have the same access attributes. For more information about
copying access attribute, see Figure 19.
