6. For FC configurations, configure Fibre Channel ports connected to RCUs as initiator ports. For serial
interface configurations, configure serial channel ports connected to RCUs as RCPs. For instructions, see
”Port change operation” on page 74.
7. Register the RCUs to the current MCU CU image by using the Add RCU pane. Set the options for the
registering RCU by using the RCU Option pane (see ”Registering RCUs (Add RCU)” on page 64 for
instructions).

8. If you plan to create Continuous Access XP Async pairs with P-VOLs in this MCU, configure Async
options using the Async Option pane (see ”Asynchronous copy option” on page 80 for instructions).
Register the consistency groups to the MCU using the Add CT Group pane (see ”Adding consistency
groups (Add CT Group)” on page 77 for instructions).
