NAS Blade system allows you to set the following user environmental variables.
• HORCMINST
• HORCC_MRCF
• HORCC_SPLIT
• HORCC_RSYN
• HORCC_REST
Settings for disaster recovery
For disaster recovery operations, perform the settings described in ”Disaster recovery operations” on
page 149.
The Continuous Access XP Journal operations procedures for volumes and volume groups required for
disaster recovery are the same as those explained in ”Starting Continuous Access XP Journal operations
and creating Continuous Access XP Journal pairs” on page 169.
Create file systems in Continuous Access XP Journal P-VOLs
Create a file system in a Continuous Access XP Journal P-VOL using the Create New File System window in
File System Management in NAS Blade Manager or using the enas_fscreate command. Even if you
create and split the Continuous Access XP Journal volume pair without creating a file system in the
Continuous Access XP Journal P-VOL, you cannot access the Continuous Access XP Journal S-VOL in the
secondary site.
Overview of Continuous Access XP Journal operations
This section describes the operations, RAID Manager XP commands, and commands provided by the
Hitachi Network Attached Storage series products for the Continuous Access XP Journal operations of
remote copy and disaster recovery.
This section describes only the RAID Manager XP command arguments required for basic Continuous
Access XP Journal operations. For other arguments, se the HP StorageWorks RAID Manager XP user
guide.
For specifications of commands provided by the Hitachi Network Attached Storage series products and
notes, see ”Operations of RAID Manager XP log files” on page 175.
Remote copy operations
This section describes remote copy operation procedure. Figure 88 shows an overview of the remote
copy operation procedure. When the pair is in the PSUS status, the S-VOL can be accessed at the
