Removing Drive Hot-Plug Fans
1. Pull the system board tray back, as described in the section, “Pulling the
System Board Tray,” earlier in this chapter. Be cautious that the system
board cables do not disconnect.
2. Loosen the thumbscrew .
3. Pull the failed hot-plug fan out of the drive fan slot .

Installing Hot-Plug Drive Fans
1. Lower the new hot-plug fan into the hot-plug drive fan slot.
2. Push the fan into the connector and tighten the thumbscrew.
3. Verify that the fan is producing airflow and that the LED is green.
4. Slide the system board tray back into a closed position.
5. Replace the access panel.
