Novell NetWare
Drivers to support NetWare Programs from Compaq ProLiant Servers are
located on the Support Software Diskette (SSD) for NetWare Programs from
Compaq, and some of the drivers are contained on the NetWare Programs
retail product. These drivers are also located on the Compaq SmartStart and
Support Software CD. The drivers on the SSD may be newer versions because
of new functionality, problem fixes, and so forth.
For more information on these drivers, run the README.COM file in the root
directory of the SSD that you created using the Product Builder Utility.
README.COM allows access to both the READ1ST.RDM and the
WHATSNEW.RDM files.
SCO UNIX
Compaq Extended Feature Supplement (EFS) contains device drivers that are
required for some Compaq options to operate under the SCO UNIX operating
system. If you use SmartStart to automatically install and configure your
operating system, these device drivers will be automatically loaded during the
installation process.
For a non-SmartStart installation and configuration, insert the Compaq
SmartStart and Support Software CD, boot your system, and select the Manual
Configuration path. Follow the screen instructions to create the EFS diskettes
using the Diskette Builder Utility.
Sun Solaris
For the location of current Solaris drivers, refer to your Solaris 7 CD.
IBM OS/2
The Compaq Support Software Diskettes for OS/2 (SSD) contain all the
drivers and utilities required for Compaq devices and controllers to operate
under OS/2.
For more information on these drives, run the VIEWME.EXE file in the root
directory of the SSD that you created using the Diskette Builder Utility.
