Configuring the Servers
Configuring the servers involves setting up the BIOS and configuring the
servers with SmartStart.
Setting Up BIOS
The first step of configuring the servers is setting up BIOS. To set up the BIOS
on the server, use the following steps.
1. If you did not erase a configuration, power up the server. The ROM Based
Setup Utility screen displays.
If you erased a configuration according to the preceding steps, begin
with step 2.
2. Select the language at the ROM Based Setup Utility screen, and then press
Enter.
3. Select SCO UnixWare 7 from the list of operating systems, and then press
Enter. The
Mass Storage Controller selection menu displays.
4. Press the escape key (Esc) to close the Mass Storage Controller selection
menu. The date and time window displays.
5. Set the time and date, and then press Enter to save your BIOS settings.
Insert the SmartStart CD into the CD-ROM drive 1.
6. Press F10 to exit the BIOS setup and reboot. The server boots from the
SmartStart CD, and the language selection screen displays. Continue
with the next procedure.
