To quickly set up iLO 2 using the default set ting s for iLO 2 Standard and

iLO 2 Advanced features, follow the steps below.

1. Ensure that a network cable is connected to the iLO port (1) located

on the back of the storage server.

NOTE:

This connection method is easiest when the connection is

to a DHCP- and DNS-supported network.

2. If not using dynamic DHC P (I P addressing), you will need to use the

Direct Attach method, and use the iLO 2 ROM-based setup utility

(RBSU) to input a static IP address.

3. Using the methods described in the iLO 2 user guide, connect to the

iLO 2 port.
