Integrated Lights-Out 2
Integrated Lights-Out 2 (iLO 2) is H P’ s fourth generation of Lights-Out m anag ement technology that
allows you to perform virtually any system administrator or maintenance task remo tely as if you were
using its keyboard, mouse and monitor, power button and floppy, CD or USB key, whether or not the
server is operating. It is available in two forms, iLO 2 Standard and iLO 2 Advanced. iLO 2 Standard is
installed on the Data Protection Storage Ser ver and provides basic system board management functions,
diagnostics and essential Lights-Out functionality as standard features on supported ProLiant servers. iLO
2 Advanced provides advanced remote administration functionality as a licensed option.
The I nteg rated Lights-Out port on the storage server is initially configured through the Rapid Startup Utility.
SNMP is enabled and the Insight Management Agents are preinstalled.
The Integrated Lights-Out por t comes with factory default settings, which the administrator can change.
Administrators may want to add users, change SNMP trap destinations, or change networking settings.

HP System Management Homepage and Insight Management
Agents
The HP System Management Homepage is a web-based interface that consolidates and simplifies the
management of a ProLiant server running Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems. By combining
data from HP Insight Management Agents and other m anagement tools, the System Management
Homepage provides a secure and intuitive interface to review in-depth hardware configu ration and status
data, performance metrics, system thresholds and software version control information. The System
Management Homepage can also be used to access the HP Lights-Out Management processor.
