10. Connect the drive cables to the hard drive cage backplane.

11. Switch the backplane jumper to the proper setting.

NOTE:
BP1 is default setting.
12. Install the hard drive fan holder:
a. Reconnect the fan cable of the hard drive fan holder
assembly to the system board.
b. Insert the tabs of the hard drive fan holder, into the holes in
the chassis, rotate forward and push down until it snaps
into place.
13. Install the hot-plug hard drive:
a. Press the release levers toward each other, and then pull
the hard drive blank panel out of the hard drive cage.

CAUTION: Hard drive blanks provide proper air flow for
a hard drive cage that is not fully populated. To avoid
thermal conditions that might result in hardware damage,
ensure that all drive bays are populated with either a
hard drive blank or a hot-plug hard drive before
operating the server.
b. With the carrier latch rotated up, slide the hot-plug drive
into the empty bay until you feel resistance.
c. Verify that the hooks on the carrier latch will engage the
top ledge of the hard drive cage.
d. Rotate the carrier latch down to fully seat the hot-plug
drive, and then press the latch down until it clicks into
place.

14. Replace the front bezel.
15. Replace the access panel.
16. Connect the power cords.
Installation is complete.
