HP TeachNow Software Trial site
Customers (or internal HP) can download a free, 90-day full function evaluation license good for up to 20
seats. The HP TeachNow software must be installed on Microsoft Windows 2008 R2. The TeachNow
installation requires a valid HP TN Trial License or HP TN permanent license in order to deliver OS image to
any desktop devices.

This 200 page document is an overview-level technical explanation of the R2 release of the W2K8 Server OS.
The document describes the standard R2 installation process (with screens) and explains some basic
procedural tasks. The R2 release is described in context with the initial release of W2K8, differences are
highlighted with additional detail on the new features and enhancements in R2. In particular, it explains the
server roles, and the new v7.5 Internet Information Server (IIS) on R2 (a key dependency for HP TeachNow
which uses a web server-based GUI).
