Issues fixed in 1.1
• Non-specific error messages – Many operations on the administrator console would display “Problem”
page instead of a specific error.
o V1.1 generally displays meaningful messages now, to provide advice or to report the cause of detected
error conditions. Unknown errors may still display the “problem” page.
• Console display issues – (Teacher and Admin) V1.0 had many layout and presentation issues with the
administrator console; the data would be poorly presented or the operator would have to click through several
pages to complete an action.
o V1.1 implements wizards to guide the user when an operation requires multiple steps.
• Installation in a domain – When the server was in a domain, the administrator had to manually correct the
HP TeachNow installation process.
o At V1.1, the installation is handled correctly.
• Scaling – when operating a class with 40 student desktops, sometimes some of the desktops did not boot
correctly.
o At V1.1, all desktops boot consistently.
