HP does not anticipate any support calls from students. This section is to highlight known issues and
potential misunderstandings related to the Student interface that may be reported by the teacher or
administrator.

The known Student interface issues include:
o Student UI indicates wrong Internet Explorer version.
o Service unavailable displayed on student web-page.
o Student sees a “Sorry” page, or #classname instead of the classname.
o An error is displayed when the user clicks the “Help” button.

The known issues listed in this document are
based on June 2010 information.
Support considerations
o The Student interface does not have student-accessible options.
o The interface presents a logon screen when the client boots and the student user enters their name and class name.
The individual students do not have actual logon identities/credentials.
All students use the default HP_TeachNow_Student account but they do not actually logon to the server. All of
the student activity is performed locally on their individual stations.
The information the student provides at “login” is for display purposes only; so the teacher can identify
individual students on the Teacher interface.
o In the class setting, the student interacts with the locally executing (streamed) OS.
An agent component in the streamed image allows the Teacher interface to interact with and modify the
behavior of the student’s image.
