PCI Hot Plug Utility
SmartStart software provides the PCI Hot Plug Utility for each operating system supported by
the server. The PCI Hot Plug Utility is delivered as part of the HP Support Pack, which is
available on the SmartStart CD and at the website:
www.hp.com/servers/proliant/manage
The PCI Hot Plug Utility is the user interface of the PCI Hot Plug architecture. The
application performs the following functions:
• Slot control
• PCI Hot Plug option configuration
• Expansion board status monitoring and reporting
