Configuration Backup
The Configuration Backup option from the System Configuration menu allows
you to
■ Create a backup of the system configuration
■ Restore the system configuration from the backup
Backing Up to a System Configuration
Saving and exiting from the System Configuration Utility generates a history
of the configuration. The System Configuration Utility maintains three
versions of the system configuration files: the current configuration and the
two previous configurations, in both binary (.SCI) and text (.CHL) file
formats.
■ The .SCI files can restore a previous configuration using the System
Configuration menu and the Restore System Configuration option from
a .SCI File submenu.
■ The .CHL files are text-based files displaying information stored in the
corresponding .SCI file.
