Figure 2-30 shows another option for a non-redundant Ethernet cluster
interconnect in a two-node PDC/O2000 cluster. These include an Ethernet
adapter in each node connected by Ethernet cables to an Ethernet switch or
hub.

Because Ethernet switches are required in PDC/O2000 clusters with three or
more nodes, using an Ethernet switch instead of a crossover cable makes it
easier to upgrade the cluster interconnect if more servers are added to the
cluster.
IMPORTANT: Crossover cables and Ethernet hubs cannot be used in PDC/O2000 clusters
with a redundant Ethernet cluster interconnect or in PDC/O2000 clusters with three or
more nodes.
