I/O Path Failure and Failover Scenarios in Redundant FC-ALs for Active/Standby
Configurations With Two or More RA4000/RA4100 Arrays

Description of Failure Failover Response
The Fibre Channel cable
connection between the Storage
Hub or FC-AL Switch that is
connected to the active array
controllers and a Fibre Host
Adapter is broken.
Secure Path forces a complete failover to the standby I/O path
components, including the standby Fibre Host Adapter in each
node, the other Storage Hub or FC-AL Switch, the standby array
controller in the each RA4000/RA4100 Array, and Fibre Channel
cables.
The Fibre Channel cable
connection between the Storage
Hub or FC-AL Switch that is
connected to the standby array
controllers and a Fibre Host
Adapter is broken.
