To connect two or more nodes in a non-redundant Ethernet cluster
interconnect:
1. Install a standard Ethernet cable between an Ethernet adapter in one
node and one Ethernet hub or switch.
2. Repeat step 1 for every other node in the cluster.
Figure 5-7 shows another option for a non-redundant Ethernet cluster
interconnect in a two-node PDC/O2000 cluster. These include an Ethernet
adapter in each node connected by Ethernet cables to an Ethernet switch
or hub.

To connect two or more nodes in a redundant Ethernet cluster interconnect:
1. Insert the ends of two Ethernet cables into two Ethernet adapter ports
designated for the cluster interconnect.
2. Connect the other end of one Ethernet cable to an Ethernet hub or
switch. Connect the other end of the second Ethernet cable to the second
Ethernet hub or switch.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for all other nodes in the cluster.
4. Install one crossover cable between the Ethernet hubs or switches.
