Compaq Insight Manager
Compaq Insight Manager, loaded from the Compaq Management CD, is a
software utility used to collect information about the servers in the cluster.
Compaq Insight Manager performs these functions:
■ Monitors server fault conditions and status
■ Forwards server alert fault conditions
■ Remotely controls servers
The Integrated Management Log is used to collect and feed data to Compaq
Insight Manager. This log is used with the Compaq Integrated Management
Display (IMD), the optional Remote Insight controller, and SmartStart.
In Compaq servers, each hardware subsystem, such as non-shared disk
storage, system memory, and system processor, has a robust set of
management capabilities. Compaq Full Spectrum Fault Management notifies
the end user of impending fault conditions.

Compaq Insight Manager XE
Compaq Insight Manager XE is a Web-based management system. It can be
used in conjunction with Compaq Insight Manager agents as well as its own
Web-enabled agents. This browser-based utility provides increased flexibility
and efficiency for the administrator.
Compaq Insight Manager XE is an optional CD available upon request from
the Compaq System Management website at
www.compaq.com/sysmanage
Compaq Options ROMPaq
The Compaq Options ROMPaq diskettes allow a user to upgrade the ROM
Firmware images for Compaq System product options, such as array
controllers, disk drives, and tape drives used for non-shared storage.
