Compaq System Configuration Utility
The SmartStart and Support Software CD also contains the Compaq System
Configuration Utility. This utility is the primary means to configure hardware
devices within your servers, such as I/O addresses, boot order of disk
controllers, and so on.
For information about the System Configuration Utility, see the Compaq
Server Setup and Management pack.
Compaq Array Configuration Utility
The Compaq Array Configuration Utility, found on the Compaq SmartStart
and Support Software CD, is used to configure the hardware aspects of any
disk drives attached to an array controller, including the non-shared drives in
the servers and the shared drives in the Compaq StorageWorks RAID Array
4000s (RA4000 Arrays) or Compaq StorageWorks RAID Array 4100s
(RA4100 Arrays).
The Array Configuration Utility also allows you to configure RAID levels and
to add disk drives or RA4000/RA4100 Arrays to an existing configuration.
For information about the Array Configuration Utility, see the Compaq
StorageWorks RAID Array 4000 User Guide or the Compaq StorageWorks
RAID Array 4100 User Guide.
Fibre Channel Fault Isolation Utility
The SmartStart and Support Software CD also contains the Fibre Channel
Fault Isolation Utility (FFIU). The FFIU verifies the integrity of a new or
existing redundant Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loop (FC-AL). This utility
provides fault detection and help in locating a failing device on a redundant
FC-AL.
For more information about the FFIU, see the Compaq SmartStart and Support
Software CD.
