Overview of the Cluster Software
The Compaq Parallel Database Cluster Model PDC/O2000 (referred to here as
the PDC/O2000) combines software from several leading computer vendors.
The integration of these components creates a stable cluster management
environment in which the Oracle database can operate.
For the PDC/O2000, the cluster management software is a combination of
Compaq operating system dependent modules (OSDs) and this Oracle
software:
■ Oracle8i Enterprise Edition with the Oracle8i Parallel Server Option

Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced
Server
This version of the PDC/O2000 supports only Microsoft Windows 2000
Advanced Server with Service Pack 1 or later.
NOTE: The PDC/O2000 does not work in conjunction with Microsoft Cluster Server. Do
not install Microsoft Cluster Server on any of the cluster nodes.
