Hot-Plug Power Supply Backplane Board
To remove a hot-plug power supply backplane board:
1. Complete the preparation procedures. See “Powering Down the Server” earlier in this
chapter.
2. Remove the server cover. See “Server Cover” earlier in this chapter.
3. Remove the power supply fan and bracket. See “Power Supply Fan and Bracket” earlier in
this chapter.
4. Disconnect all cables from the backplane board.
5. Tilt the backplane forward.
6. Pull up to remove the backplane board .

To replace a power supply backplane board, slide it into the three slots on the back of the power
supply, then reverse steps 1 through 4.
