Switches
The Compaq ProLiant DL380 Server has two switchbanks (SW1 and SW2) located on the
system board. These switches are used to set the configuration of the server. SW1 is used as a
system identification switch and the setting is pre-set in the factory. Do not change these
settings. Incorrectly set switches may result in damage to the server.
System Configuration Switchbank (SW2)
The system configuration switchbank (SW2) is a six-position switch that is used for system
configuration. The position of SW2 on the system board is shown in Figure 4-4, and the default
switch settings are shown in Table 4-4.
