Removing the Riser Board Shipping
Bracket
Some models of the ProLiant DL380 Server include a bracket to keep
expansion boards in place during shipping. You must remove this bracket
before installing or removing expansion boards; however, reinstalling the
bracket is optional.
NOTE:
The shipping bracket may or may not be included with your system.

Identifying Expansion Slots
The ProLiant DL380 server’s riser board contains four expansion slots as
shown in the following figure:

One 32-bit PCI slot for access to the 33-MHz PCI bus providing data
transfer rates up to 133 MB/s 1
■
Three 64-bit PCI slots for access to the 33-MHz PCI bus providing data
transfer rates up to 266 MB/s 2,3,4
